Hi, the driver gear for my Bachmann 0-4-0 porter cracked. Can someone tell me place a new gear?
Bachmann shows only the driver and motor assembly. If possible, not a Bachmann gear.

You might give service a call and see what they can do.
You could try NWSL for the gear. They have a special form for requests.

Hi Bill, answer from NWSL.
Sorry to say, the way Bachmann made those engines defies anything we can do in our machine shop so we've never made gears for that locomotive. The only real fix for those engines is to gut the factory gearing and install a 259-6 gearbox, which is a fair amount of work but it results in a working engine that doesn't grind up gears.
