Title: Lights on 2-10-0
Post by: rogertra on January 23, 2016, 02:31:39 PM
Thought I'd put a 2-10-0 that I'd purchase a little over a year ago into service today.

So I fire up JMRI so as to program the CVs to tune the engine up.

When it came to the head and back up lights I noticed that like many (all?) Bachmann steam, they don't seem to work.

I tried both the LED and Incandescent setting in JMRI but with no luck.

Anyone else have this issue and did you solve it?  If you did, how?

Cheers.

As you know - Press HEADLIGHT button on your NCE Power Cab to turn on light when locomotive first powered up.

Usual suspect - Check the light bar* alignment  in relation to the light source.

   * part OOK1O locomotive,  part OOKO1 tender

Yes, that was my first thought but do I really want to take the engine apart?

Still, I do need to remove those Russian domes and Canadianise the loco, so, no choice.  :(
