Title: Anybody with Bachmann 1/20.3 spares going to ECLSTS?
Post by: tac on February 19, 2016, 09:16:19 AM
I'm trying to get a few bits and pieces for my Shays [I have four], Heislers and Climax and have wasted way too much of my precious time trying to get them over here in yUK.

New or used is fine by me - at least three air tanks for a start.

;D ;D ;D Hahaha Terry, how on earth did you manage to loose three air tanks?! Anyway, my advice is - forget it - I wasted too much time trying to get spares too. It is easier to get them hand made from brass or pvc, or perhaps 3D printed if you know someone with a professional 3D printer... similar reasoning applies to other parts. Ryan Bednarik in the US offers custom castings of very high quality, in bronze. That might work for some more complex parts, especially if they need to be strong. Best wishes from Tokyo, Zubi

o.

That's sad, Zubi.

All I wanted to do was to update three of my Shays.  I guess I can copy those on pal Broos's Shay and save a lot of grief.

All the very best to you over there.
