Have the company though about making or using 3D printers and parts to make lovely trains. Figuring that the printer is a one time deal and then the cad program you can make anything without new tooling. Then the company can use there nice chassies and add new shells or detail parts.

I've thought about getting one for prototype work, but the time it takes to get a complicated part like a frame would, I think, preclude it from a parts available program.
