Title: N scale scrap yard
Post by: RGW on September 25, 2016, 08:40:01 PM
On all my layouts I have a scrap yard.  This is my latest.
It does contain Two Bachmann or mostly Bachmann engines. Also the wrecker is one they have sold for years,I just paint them different colors. I model the late 50s so this and the grain truck come in handy.

Any guesses which engines are bachmann or mostly bachmann?

The USRA heavy mikado is a Kato.  The eight wheeler and the consolidated are B-manns.

Nice work.   You might want to add some grease or oil flows to some of the things in the junk yard, especially the motive power.   Also some grease and oil on the ground.  Junk yards tend to have grease and oil everywhere.  They also have small parts lying around as well as small parts half buried in the dirt.  Their equipment also tends to leak oil everywhere.

Sorry the photos do not show the engines well.

USRA Hy Mike . Display engine non moving , China copy of a kato

4-4-0 . Del Prado display nonmoving

0-8-0 .  Bachmann 2-8-0 shell on a Micro-Ace 2-8-0 chassis with removed front truck

0-6-0  hard to see  Bachmann USRA 0-6-0 older white gear engine with boiler remove and in the background.

here is a better view of the scrape yard before latter additions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zRgPYUej9s
