Title: USRA Lt 2-10-2 kitbash
Post by: RGW on December 18, 2016, 06:21:20 PM
Here is my project so far. The Bachmann K4 Delta trailing truck looks much better than the GHQ that I glue to the sides of the stock truck ( see 1st two photos )
I will post more photos when I finish painting and weathering.

Love the engine.

Nice job RGW.
I have noticed that Bachmann has these lokies listed as discontinued.
As well as the 2-6-6-2, and both the heavy and light mountains 4-8-2s, and several diesels.
If you want parts for the long haul, consider getting them soon or pick up a donor lokie(s).

Good luck

Thanks.

Yes I think I will order some more parts. I really like Bachmann's K4 Delta trailing truck, it looks much better than my kitbashed versions. I have the DM&IR 2-10-2 ( See 1st photo)
that I filed down the side frames and glued on some GHQ delta frames , but I plan to add Bachmann's delta.

The parts I used in this build are:

coal bunker                                  =    Atlas 0-8-0
Elesco feed water heater & pump  =  Atlas 0-8-0
Boiler top air tanks                       =  Atlas SD 26 roof tanks.
Misc piping                                    = Bachmann 2-6-6-2 shell
