Is the Bachmann 1 amp decoder 44913 a dual mode unit capable of running DC or DCC? I plan of using in the G-scale Thomas locos.
Yes it is. You will have to crank the power up more than when using a DC only loco.
The microprocessor needs at least five volts to just wake up. Maybe couple volts more for the loco to move.
