Title: programming new loco
Post by: tjdowdy26 on December 22, 2016, 07:51:22 PM
I purchased a Bachman HO GE 45 ton switcher with DCC on board. The included paperwork does not assign a starting loco number. How do I program this engine?

Default on a new DCC engine is always 3. You can change it from there.

Did you purchase the loco used?  You can try asking the previous owner.

Some modellers assign their locos the number painted on them to avoid confusion.

When you do a reset, cycle power. It should then run on 003. Been six years since I had to do one.
