Title: Bachmann auto reverse loop module
Post by: oilcan1951 on January 12, 2017, 08:27:44 AM
I model G scale. I just purchased a brand new Bachmann auto reverse loop module and I have what would be considered an Acroos type loop, and my switch does not seem work right.
Sometimes it will allow the engine to go a few feet and then it starts running back and forth on it own. I followed the directions went on youtube and it appears that I installed it properly but I dont know why its doing this. Can anybody help please. THX

Are you running DCC? The reverser is for DCC only. If DCC did you gap both rails coming off both sides of the turnout?    Joe

I wonder if perhaps the power limit is being exceeded and the system is partially resetting?

This might be prevented using a Booster:  http://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=264_274&products_id=1823

Thanks guys for replying.
I did find out that this is for DCC.
I use analog on my G scale and was told this is what I needed.
Guess I got an extra $50 part I don't need.

Don't lose all hope, LGB makes an analog reverse loop module.  ;)
