Title: Regular turnouts on DCC layout.
Post by: cramsay on January 23, 2017, 12:41:04 PM
Sorry if this has been covered before. With HO NS EZ Track, are regular EZ Track turnouts(example a #5 right-hand) going to work all right on a DCC layout rather than buying the equivalent DCC turnout? They will not be run through the controller(MRC Prodigy Advanced)-- the provided push-button switches will just be mounted on the edges of the benchwork. Thanks!

They WILL work, but they will need their own AC power source.

An inexpensive analog controller with accessory terminals is ideal.

Hey thanks! As a matter of fact I have an old EZCommand DC controller and power pack.

That's how my temporary setup is wired.
