Title: Spectrum Passenger Car Truck Sticks
Post by: plint on March 08, 2017, 08:40:23 PM
I just got this Spectrum Passenger car and 1 truck will just kinda lock, not move sideways like something is stuck. It is slight but enough to derail on a curve or turnout. Problem is, I can't see anything in there.  This is the truck that's connected to the coupler where they both move in unison.  The other truck seems ok.   Was/is this a problem with Spectrum passenger cars or just a random bad truck?  The shell seems like it's on there pretty good so I don't know how to look inside.

Are the tabs underneath the shell easy to open it with?

Dear Plint,
The windows and roof of a Spectrum heavyweight are a one-piece casting.
Push up on the clips visible under the car and the roof/ window piece will lift out.
Have fun!

Thanks, Bach-man
Got it off.  Problem was the swivel bar catching on the corner of the chair piece that sits on the weight.  Filed it down so it wouldn't catch.  All set now.
