Title: dcc reverse loops
Post by: bob kaplan on March 10, 2017, 04:43:15 PM
Probably been covered several dozen times here....but how many dpdt toggles are necessary for an engine to enter and leave a reverse loop in dcc?  Some articles I have read show one and others show two.   Using two seems to make more sense to me because the "main" would have to be altered once the engine is in the loop and must come out the other side which must be matching.   It obvious I don't use dcc at the moment....but I am hoping.  Thank you.

I just use reverse loop modules:  In DCC they sense the short as metal wheels cross the insulated gaps and instantly change the loop's polarity so the train continues unhindered when it enters and exits the loop.
