Title: New to ho dcc
Post by: Big Blue on March 23, 2017, 11:54:12 AM
Happy to report my first layout is working well with a Bachman dcc go 38-2 loco with NCE power cab. A lot to learn but it's been very enjoyable.Engine came with no info re what typedecoder is installed. Where can I get info re engine/decoder?  Can I go into programming with powercab and make adjustments?

The decoder is just a basic decoder manufactured by Lenz, it only supports basic CVs.

Thank you. I found it on the B website. Have you any experience with Bachman dcc sound equipped non spectrum engines?

If you are referring to the Sound Value locomotives, I have several.

I run them on a regular basis at train shows and the club layout.  I am quite happy with their performance.  The volume is not quite as high as the Spectrums with full Tsunami's.  That's OK with me.

Regards,

Jonathan

Appreciate the feedback. Am hoping to pick one up next week. I waited until I was sure I could make dcc work. So far so good.
