Title: What size wheels do I need?
Post by: sallygoodin on July 07, 2017, 07:15:02 AM
What size wheel axle sets do I need for a recently purchased Bachmann Train N Scale Orange box car with a Rio Grande on it? It is in the Super Chief Set.
I have tried to figure it out........too complicated.   :(

My box car flew across the room when I had a collision  :o and one of the wheel sets popped out and I can't find it.
Thanks for  your help.

to sallygoodin :  Go to Parts , service & info section . Go to  "N" scale parts  find  wheels . these will be  in universal parts . It appears they come  in  only one
size for  "N" scale .  John2 . Good Luck .

It's not required that you use B'mann wheelsets.
Many manufactures offer wheelsets that fit B'mann trucks.
Measure from end to end on the axle.

IIRC .563?
please double check.

Intermountain and Fox Valley, among others, make wheel sets that will fit Bachmann cars. Freight cars generally use wheels that are 33 scale inches in diameter.
