Title: Used Burlington Northern
Post by: Yosemite sam on September 22, 2017, 11:14:22 AM
i bought a used Burlington Northern (Bachmann)  from a  stall at an exhibition for my son.
When i took it home and ran it,it sounded as if it was running on the sleepers and not the track.I took it to my local model club and they said to get a hold of a service sheet for a gear wheel.
Ive been on the web but cant find it,so i called Bachmann and they asked for the model number on the side of the box,but i dont have it.
Help please

Locomotives from unknown sources are very often a very bad deal, especially old ones.  You don't know how many dozens of hours it may have run at 500 miles an hour, of how many long years may have sat idle letting all the lubricants curdle and solidify and the electrical contact points oxidize, or how many times it's been used as a weapon in a sibling war.

There are lots of "bargains" all the time everywhere, but be aware of the hidden snare traps.
