Title: Alco 2-6-0 - Accessing tender.
Post by: rogertra on January 12, 2018, 12:57:22 AM
One of my Alco 2-6-0s has been damaged and I want to remove the sound decoder and place it in another tender.  How do I remove the tender body.  Searched on line with no luck but I'm sure there's a drawing somewhere showing how the loco and tender are assembled, I can't find it.  :-(

Thanks.

The diagram is here: http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dwg/dwgs/HO_260_DCC_sound_.pdf

It looks like there's a screw on the bottom front of the tender that holds things together. It also looks like the coal load pops out to access the decoder.
