Title: 0-6-0 Boiler and 2-6-0 Chassis
Post by: witchdoctor40 on January 16, 2018, 08:52:01 PM
Will the older 0-6-0 boiler/cab fit the newer 2-6-0 chassis?

To clarify, I asked this two years ago. I am wanting to model US Army S-100. An 0-6-0 with tender that was used into the 1960s at Fort Eustis. I want to know if the 0-6-0 boiler and/or cab can be swapped out with the 2-6-0 boiler and/or cab. Any help from Bachmann or anyone who has completed this swap would be appreciated.

Dear Doc,
We make two Moguls.  The one based on the USRA 0-6-0
is exactly the same, so simply remove the lead truck.
The newer 2-6-0 is not interchangeable parts.
Have fun!

Mr. Bach Man:
How about the shell of an old MONOPOLY 0-6-0 onto a new 0-6-0?
Are the shells easy to remove?

Dear LI,
I've never done it, but I'd
guess it would work.
Have fun!
