Title: Installing Metal Railings on Cars
Post by: RkyGriz on February 15, 2018, 08:42:54 PM
Ok. I'm finally starting my North Star Express caboose lighting project. I have decided to add a set of metal railings and grab handles that I bought last year to this project.  I'm thinking about gluing the rails and grab handles on using Gorilla Glue clear epoxy. It has served me well for other projects, and I think that it should work here as well.
Any thoughts on this? Is there a better adhesive for this project?
Thanks guys!
Andrew

Andrew,

Any 5 minute Epoxy has worked well for me over the years.  I test fit first and if it goes in easy, I use a toothpick to put the epoxy (less than a pin head amount) into the holes then press the handrail or whatever in place.  Never had one come out after that.

I take that as a yes. Thanks for the reply, Bill!
