My name is Gerald and I am from Austria (! !). Pls. excuse my bad English.
I am proud - owner of an 3-truck Shay and an Climax. wonderful locos ! !
Now my question:
How I clean the plastic-housing of the Shay ? The loco is new, I took it out of the Original - box ( ! ) and have seen, that there were much finger-prints on it .

Hello Gerald,
You are welcome here and don't worry about your english. Perhaps your fingers were a little oily when you removed it from the box. :-\ I have successfully used cotton swabs dipped in a simple solution of water and just a little mild soap such as dish soap or hand soap 8).
Enjoy those locomotives.

Thanks for idea and answer. Prints are not from my fingers ! The prints was on the brand new loco in the original box !.
