Post by: smcgill on April 03, 2018, 03:50:55 PM
Has anyone tried to remove the horses to paint them so they resemble their horses ?

Sounds like a fun project, but I don't know of any diagrams for the car.   I was thinking that you could probably disassemble the car just like you would a standard stock car, and carefully check out the moving mechanism and remove it.  Wondering if you could open the doors and see what is going on inside, maybe you could get a clue from doing that.

No matter when you figure it out take a photo of your real horses and of the car horses after you paint them and post them for us!!

Good luck with the project!!

I tried to find one but don't think one was posted anywhere and if there ever was one it is not posted on the
Bachmann site that I can find.

To disassemble the animated stock car is fairly easy. The floor of the car has 8 tabs, four on each side, that go into slots on the body of the car. Start in the middle of the car and spread the body of the car until the center tabs clear and then free the other tabs and lift the body off.  The livestock heads are screwed to the center, swinging beam and can be removed to work on the heads individually.
