Which decoder do I need for a Bachmann Alco S4 DCC ready Switcher engine

The DCC Ready Alco S4 has an 8-pin socket on the PC board. So any decoder with an 8-pin plug would work.

due to clearance problems with any decoder with a wiring harness I used a digitrax  dh165 IP. granted its not a sound decoder but it will fit and run you units.  I am looking for a sound decoder that will fit my s4 some day

Thank you. Thank you. The Digitraxx DH165IP is the way to go. It's the one they recommend on their website.
