Title: B&O Blue Line Conversion to DCC
Post by: captain Bill on August 27, 2018, 08:19:50 AM
I am new to G scale and I want to convert my Bachman B&O Blue line engine made in 1997 to DCC.  What are your recommendations so that I can control the engine power, engine sound, and lights?  I think I can do the conversion but I don't know what is compatible with your Bachman engines. I have a PIKO 55040 DCC smart controller. Thanks Bill

Dear Cap'n,
Before you spend that kind of money on a loco that old, I'd certainly replace the old chassis with the latest ones available from the service department!
Have fun!

Hi!

The Bach-man is right. Chassis replacement is a great way to go.  I would recommend an /anniversary edition 4-6-0 chassis.  You will get a reliable version 5 chassis in either the Big Hauler 4-6-0 or the Anniversary 4-6-0.

For complete info go to this link and scroll down to repair tips for chassis identification info and replacement tips:
