Title: GG1 Radius
Post by: sfrisiello on January 16, 2019, 11:45:22 PM
I know Bachmann suggests 22 inch for their GG1's,  but will it run on short sections of 18 inch radius?

GG1 will negotiate 18" radius without  passenger cars.

Less than 22" radius with passenger cars will be problematic.

This question comes up with some variation every week or so . It's always, how can I get a very huge engine around a  very sharp small engine curve.

Mr. Yardmaster, can't a FAQ page be made for this overly repetitive and somewhat tiresome issue?

It always comes down to whether realism is important to the individual or not.

People will still come here and ask rather than hunt around to find the answer. It is "Ask the Bach Man".

Maybe they need to come out with an Echo Bachmann.
"Bachlexa - What's the radius for xyz?"
"Bachlexa - How many volts does xyz need?" :)

Or to paraphrase the best one I remember :

"Bachlexa, my train won't run.  What's wrong with it?"

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
