Hello Everyone. Have just purchased the american version of the large scale 2-4-2 Lyn. Can I ask for suggestions for a suitable DCC decoder and sound?

If you have the DCC-ready model with 8-pin socket and factory-installed speaker ---

Consider a SoundTraxx Tsunami 2 Steam-2 TSU-2200 - you will need a wiring harness with plug if you are going to use the socket

Check the motor stall current of the 2-4-2 Lyn locomotive you have to be sure it is below 2 amps

You may also need to replace the factory installed speaker with one compatible with the decoder Audio Amplifier: 2 Watts, 8-Ohm Load

(I could not locate my tech notes on the large scale 2-4-2 thus you need to check)
