if i turn off my switch to the smoke the engine does not run, i replaced the broken front pilot trucks do they have anything to do with the smoke switch, I hooked up the wires exactly like the old ones

It is easy to reverse the wiring when replacing the front truck. Try turning the front truck 180 degrees and see if it runs. If you did not change any of the wiring to the switches this may do it. All it takes is one wire connected wrong and you get a short. If it still does not run maybe you can send a photo of what you did and the connections you made. and we will do our best to get you going!
