Does anyone know if I can take the decoder board out of a G scale Climax and install it in a C-19 G scale. This would be to get DCC sound and power for the C-19

The decoder will fit.

However not sure that the decoders amperage is suitable for the large Pittman motor in the C-19. I would ask Soundtraxx for clarification before installing it.

Zimo and Phoenix also make plug in decoders with sound for the C-19.
