Title: 2-4-4-2 Speed

I have programmed my 2-4-4-2 to a new address (9005) while it responds to the address I can not get the loco go any faster than a crawl, either in 14, 28, or 128 speed steps. I'm using a MRC DCC

What happens when you go back to the previous number?

No difference, but I will continue to play with it, hopefully I'll get it to work.

OK, I reset the decoder to factory specs (CV8 - 8) and it works fine now so obviously I screwed something up when I reset the address. Thanks for the reply
