Title: Programming Bachman DCC On Board with Digitrax DCS 50
Post by: Rex4 on June 15, 2019, 06:01:46 PM
I received a new HO scale Bachmann RS3 for Father's Day.  I am having trouble programming it with my Digitrax DCS 50. I read that to overcome this problem one needs to lay a 1000 ohm resistor across the programming track. My question is: " What watt 1000 ohm resistor should I use?

1000 ohm, 1/2watt across the rails.

A 1000 Ohm, ΒΌ Watt resistor laid across the programming track is required for programming  a factory installed non-sound Bachmann (Lenz based) decoder used with a Digitrax Zephyr (DCS50) or Zephyr Xtra (DCS51).

Remove resistor after programming.
