I have an F7 A unit and I would like to remove the shell for a repaint.
There is no obvious way to get it off.
My question is will it pop off using the "drop it on the edge of an empty box" method?

To remove the shell, simply spread the sides of the shell apart at the fuel tank and lift. Getting the pilot coupler through the pilot on an "A" unit takes a bit of twisting and finagling, but it can be done relatively easily.
