Title: Electric train sets
Post by: TrainCollector on January 21, 2020, 06:38:10 PM
So I was looking through an old catalogue from like 10 years ago. Anyone remember the Rail King, Diesel Digital Commander, Steam Digital commander, Thunderbolt and Rail Spike sets? I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas if Bachmann would either rerelease these sets or could you buy the cars separately along with the locomotive? Let me know below what you guys think. I think I have some ideas for some cool sets if you all are interested.

The diesel version of the 'Digital Commander' is still available:

And if you check the set listing (note the link to page 2 at the bottom):

I think you'll find the other sets you've listed repackaged, and possibly renamed, with newer versions of the locomotives included.

Hi Len thank you for joining the conversation. I actually have the Diesel set you just listed but the set I mentioned that has been long discontinued is known as the Diesel digital commander set with a Union Pacific GP40 diesel locomotive and I think about five freight cars. It's featured in the 2010 catalogue along with the digital commander set with two diesel locomotives. So to continue this talk does anyone here collect trains sets for fun? I do and it's a great time to just put a nice layout on the bedroom floor and simply run the train. If anyone else here collects HO scale electric train sets. Comment below what your favorite set is. I'd love to hear from you guys.
