Hey, trying to replace a side rod on a 4-8-4 ordered the proper screw from Bachmann, have the proper nut driver for it but its not going in!
I tried a scrapp engine I had for parts and that wouldn't work as well? any ideas?
Logic would say you have the wrong screw.

You can get an assortment of miniature screws from Amazon and other sources, and try until you find the correct thread size. The screw sets are for eyeglasses, laptops and phones.
Be aware that virtually all of the Bachmann screws are metric thread. Eyeglass screws are usually American 00-90 thread. Best to check at a decent hobby shop where you should be able to find metrics.
