Title: Sound on a Spectrum Saddle Back switcher???
Post by: acudoc1 on February 12, 2020, 01:23:15 PM
Hello,
I am in search of anyone who has inserted sound w/speaker into a Bachmann Spectrum Saddle Back switcher. It is a great little DCC switcher with not a whole lot of room for more decoders or speakers. Has anyone done this sound enhancement on this loco or, for that matter, any other small loco with limited space. As I said, this loco already has DCC in it. Any ideas or opinions?? Thanks.

I saw it done maybe ten years ago in a Yahoo DCC SoundTraxx Group using the Tsunami Micro decoder. It required some cutting I think for a speaker.
The name of the Group has changed.
I left all the DCC groups a few years ago. Yahoo had issues. Spammers in the group emails.
It might still be there but that is the best I can do. Sorry. Maybe someone here knows what the the group is now called.
There were groups for different decoder names run by individuals.
The new SoundTraxx decoder is a little smaller I believe.
The install was quite nice.
