Title: Bachmann DCC Wiring to a Buss
Post by: jvoycik on April 06, 2020, 09:11:03 AM
Need to know how you would wire a DCC EZ Command unit to a BUSS.  Need to connect track in my Walthers Roundhouse to the DCC controller.  Is the 22AWG in the Red wire sufficient to carry the voltage as a BUSS, and if so I assume I have to splice the wiring.  Any suggestions on how to do this the most trouble free way ?

Suitcase connectors.  They may go by another name.  Solder free.

suitcase connectors are another of those things the model railroad press swears by, that is unnecessary. Proper soldering provides a far more reliable connection than any suitcase connector. And soldering skills will come in handy in this hobby, because feeder wires aren't the only things on a model railroad that can be soldered.
