I am trying to identify the wires coming from the small circuit board for the lights. These have four wires each (I was expecting 2!); does anyone know what these are?

Its possible that 2 of the wires connect to the lights themselves, and the other 2 wires are track power and ground.
Just my observation. Pics would be more helpful.
