I just picked up a couple of the new old-time passenger cars. I want to put some seats and people inside and repaint the bodies. Anyone taken one of them apart? If so, any hints? I looked in the Parts section of the home page and didn't see anything there for rolling stock, and there was no info in the boxes.
I believe there are two clips on each side of the body the lock it down into the chassis on either end. I can send a picture if you need.
you might have luck with someone that has already designed for 3D printing snap in modules with seating, restrooms, dining cars, etc. Shapeways may have designs on file. I know there are numerous of those available for the old Roundhouse passenger cars. Some of those designs are sold on ebay cheap.
