Title: SP narrow gauge in cheezy TV western

Filmed on the SP Keeler branch in 1954.

Compared to the overcooked and infinitely picked-over Colorado narrow gauges, little attention has ever been paid to the former Carson and Colorado, and this might be some of the only film ever made of this little line.

Try to sit through the cheezy formulaic western and enjoy the desert basin scenery and the beautiful little 4-6-0 no. 9.

And enjoy this hilarious review.

I think Larry Jensen said that one of his next movie railroad books would have SP in it.

No. 9's sister was returned to operating condition fairly recently, and visited the Durango &'Silverton.

Really great video of no. 18 in the snow.  And that Southern Pacific 5 chime whistle!  Oh man!  I grew up on that sound!
