Title: Having trouble with DCC
Post by: DerekBane88 on May 07, 2021, 10:59:09 AM
Hi, I just got back into the Hobby after a long time.
I purchased an Ez-command center and a GB38-2 loco with decoder H601X#PCB01 in it from ebay.
They both are used .
But i cant get them to sync together. I read and watched videos about the channel 3 being the preprogramed button. but still nothing.  can i reset the loco or something. BTW both items work, train runs fine on DC . and EZ Command can run a train using channel 10 on analog.

Please help!!

It is very, very likely your used GP-38 was programmed to a different address by the previous owner, maybe the loco number painted on the side of the cab.

The EZ command controller cannot reset the loco to #3.  You will need a "friend" with a more advance DCC system to reset the decoder for you.

Regards,

Jonathan

You can try:
Click Here  (https://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/images/E-Z_Command_instructions.pdf) for E-Z Command Control Setup and Programming Instructions

Scroll to page 3 and follow instructions in section REPROGRAMMING DECODERS WITH PREVIOUSLY ASSIGNED DIGITAL ADDRESSES

============

E-Z App does not use DCC so no help.
