Title: Bachmann EZ Track 45* (#44543) and 60* (44542) Crossings

Why can't regular EZ track attach to all 4 sides of either crossing without needing to trim the plastic ballast?
Is this a bad design?

To do that would make the crossing legs so long that it would limit where they can be used.

I realize it's an old post but I wonder how he figures they would go about doing that with the short crossings unless they included pre-cut shorts which would raise the price and the shorts would still be cut anyway.
Good to see you back Len.
