I was watching Tale of Wells Fargo the other night and one scene was shot behind the Sierra Railroad roundhouse. This is from a 1957 episode.
The Sierra Railroad roundhouse is in the background. Jim Hardie (Dale Robertson) is talking to Belle Starr (Jeanne Cooper). Famous movie loco #3 is pulling the train.
(Some of you soap fans might recognize Jeanne as Mrs. Chancellor from The Young and the Restless.)

Belle Starr died in 1889 and #3 was built in 1891 but it's Hollywood. ;D
My Sierra Railroad roundhouse video from 2001.
Hi Terry, I believe I saw that same episode. It was on about my bedtime and didn't stay
up to watch the entire episode though.
Do you remember a limited run series starring Tom Beringer (sp) called "The Peacemaker"?
It may have been just "Peacemaker" without "THE". The opening scene of every episode showed
a Shay pulling into the station. It's been a while but it could've been ten or twenty years
ago.
Ken
I remember the Peacemaker. That was a good show. I don't rem the opening though, I;ll have to see if I can find it.
Found it on Youtube. Search "Peacemakers". Pilot episode at the 1:20 minute mark.
Wish I knew how to 'cut and paste' videos.
Ken
I see it. There are also bits of footage between about 50:42 and 58:50.
