Post by: mohawk on January 11, 2008, 07:33:27 PM
::)I have the Bachmann 4-4-0 and 4-6-0 with their dcc decoders installed and
would like to install one in the Roundhouse 2-6-0. The Bachmann decoder has 8
connections and the Roundhouse has 9 connections.I would appreciate any help

Do you mean the Roundhouse locomotive has a plug with 9 connections?  There are a number of decoders with this style of plug.  Digitrax makes several.

Alternately, chop the plug off a Bachmann decoder and the plug off the Roundhouse wiring harness.  Connect the wires, matching colours.  Be sure to solder each joint and insulate each joint with shrink tubing.

Buy a nine plug decoder.

You do not have to match brands of decoder and there's an industry standard on data transfer.
