Title: Gramps and UTLX tankcars
Post by: tommygunner on January 12, 2008, 02:36:55 PM
Mr. Bachmann,
Are the handrail stanchions on the new tank car plastic or metal? I looked at photos and can't tell.  I am hoping they are metal for durabilities sake as I have seen broken rail holders on Accu's tankcars .

Not to steal any of the Bach Man's thunder, but the hand rails are metal.

I have one of each narrow frame and frameless tank cars.  These are well built and detailed cars.

Where did you get your tank cars? I went over to the pictures and took a look at them. I would like to get a UTLX and a gondola. Bruce

Tommy.
Oops! Sorry.  :-[ The stanchions are plastic.  They do seem a little more robust than those used on the Bachmann Big Hauler tank cars.
