I recently bought a Bachmann crane and floodlight car off Ebay. It has the older truck-mounted horn-hook couplers on it. I'd like to replace them with Kadees or something similar. Kadee's conversion chart says a #27 but has a question mark beside it indicating they're unsure. Any recommendations?

Try a Kadee 158

You are best off by cutting off the talgo mounting and body mounting the coupler.
