Post by: CustomRCmodels on January 16, 2008, 05:54:56 PM
do these
"1:20.3 Narrow Gauge Two-Bay Steel Hopper's"
have working bay-door's ?

if not , is the upper part a one piece mold ,
or the bay-door's are a seperate part which is just glued in
and could be removed to make them working ?

thanks

Yes, they do work. Prototypical latches.

Hello Kevin

My latchs seems glued in place.   I put some pressure in trying to turn them up but nada....., no movement at all ......    Are you sure that they could be turned and not permanently fixed with glue?

There is a lock mechanism on the latch that must be released by rotating it ccw (I think) before the latch releases the door . Should be a diagram that comes with car to show how to open door.

Dear All,
The latches ar operating Wine Latches. There is a wedge-shaped piece and a rotating lock. Pushing one way, I believe toward the center of the car will release the latch. There is a picture on page 7 in the photo gallery in the NMRA Samples album.
Have fun!
