I'm looking for suggestions for a sound decoder perferrably with speaker for my DCC ready 4-8-2 heavy. If it matters, I'm using the Digitrax Zephyr.
The criteria I'm looking for are
1. ease of installation. simple plug n play would be outstanding! Also, I would like one that I don't have to remodel the inside of the tender to put it in.
2. cost
3. At the very least a chuff, bell and whistle.
What is everyone putting in thiers???

I had put a soundtraxx medium steam with a 1 inch round speaker, works great .
Your best location for the speaker is under the coal load in the bunker. You will have to drill a hole in the slope sheet.
