I recently purchased 2 Bachmann locos - #83401 and #82301. Next I want to get the Bachmann 44902 DCC control center. Loco 83401 is DCC-ready, but loco 82301 needs a DCC decoder. Will decoder #44915 work with loco 82301 and control center 44902? If not, which decoder should I use?
Bachman decoder 44915 is a plug-in decoder and will work with loco 83401 .There is version of the decoder which is mean to be hardwired in . I don't remember if the no is 44914 or 44916 and it will have to hardwired into loco 82301.
