Post by: Chatzi473 on February 02, 2008, 11:15:23 AM
I have the non sound sound dcc ready goose here in my dorm at schoo in Colorado l, but on my layout at home (Chicago) i have the Bachmann ez dcc and was wondering if the chips bachmann sells (cause i have 2 extra at home) would aslo work in the goose or are they for bachmann engines only?

You missed a fantastic sound system with the PCM factory unit--door closes, engine cranks, goes up and down thru the gears--some are still around at good prices, probably because of wierd paint jobs like "School Bus"---I see them often on eBay.  Pick up one of those and swap shells.  gj

It should work just fine, the only problem is that the decoder might have the wrong plug on it for the board on the goose. If it has the 8 pin decoder is should work just fine.

Title: Goose Conversion
Post by: johntech on February 13, 2008, 07:58:49 AM
I have found a On30 goose on line for $50.00. I currently run S gauge trains. Does anyone know how difficult or even possible to convert the On30 Goose to run on S gauge? I have heard the sounds from the On30 goose and it sounds great.

Thanks

John
