Hi Bach-Man,
In your december 7th post you said the second shipment of K-27's was due to arrive in the states in March.  Will this shipment have the counterweight problem corrected?
Thanks,
Chuck

Bach-man,

Appreciate your most interesting response.

"When they arrive."  Looking forward to that arrival!

... shipments from Bachmann. We don't get shipments from Bachmann, we get them from "dealers." Are all of the V.1 K-27's being returned to Bachmann for fixing or are we playing Russian roulette when we buy from a dealer. How can one tell whether a K-27 is V.1 or V.2 when ordering?

You won't know.
Unless Bachmann breaks tradition and marks the outside of the boxes to so indicate.
Like first and second run 2-8-0's, or 4-4-0's, not much to tell you from outside the box.

However, since it's a screwdriver mod, and instructions (with pictures) are given, and the parts are free (and if you were born with more than the normal number of thumbs, Bachmann has stated they will pay shipping both ways to fix it for you), what difference does it make?

It APPEARS discounters are selling off first run units CHEAP, a smart person would get one of them at the low prices and put the counterweights on themselves.
