Title: C&O 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain
Post by: Jake on February 25, 2007, 02:52:49 PM
I have just bought a New-in-Box 4-8-2 heavy mountain on eBay for $120, I do have future plans to buy a Soundtraxx tsunami for my engine, in the mean time i will just use a Bachmann decoder. Now i am just stuck here, is a Mountain classified as Medium or Heavy steam? I would think Heavy due to the fact that it is a Heavy Mountain but I'm not sure. Please and thank you!

A Mountain would be a large medium.   ;D  I've even heard the USRA 2-10-2 light called a "medium."  In any event, large would start with a 2-10-2 or perhaps a 4-8-4.   This is opinion, others may have different theories.   ::)

Welcome, Jake.  Thanks for ignoring the grammatical error in my response.  ???

Jake.
In the latest Micro-Mark catalog they have the C&O heavy mountain listed for $179.95 with the Tsunami installed.

I don't need four C&O J-2s.  Really I don't.   What's the cab number of the J-2 with Tsunami?
