I would like to get an additional sand dome for rebuild of an Bachmann On30 outside-frame 2-8-0. The plan is to move the cab back and add a sand dome, more resembling on one of the Oahu Ry locomotives. I sent an email asking Bachmann about spare parts, but never received a reply.
Any suggestions?

Check some of the detail part manufacturers like Precision Scale (PSC) for O scale sand domes. Since PSC has the line of old Kemtron parts that were used for their On3 2-8-0, they should be a likely source for a sand dome for your project.

It's always best to call the service department. Sometimes the part you need can be had from an unrepairable loco.
