Post by: Mike_AA9ZY on March 31, 2008, 06:02:04 PM
Hey Mr. Bach Man, I heard on the OGR forum that you have E-7 engines and passenger cars in new color schemes. What colors are the Milwaukee Road units? ???

Dear All,
I'll have the new catalog in a week or two, at which point I'll know for sure.

Why do I have this hunch that the new Milwaukee Road E7's are going to be wearing Armour yellow and Harbor mist gray?

Mr. Bach-man, can you tell us? Maybe share a picture or two?

Actually the later colors would work ok for my layout. I remember seeing Milwaukee Road passenger trains stopping in my town. Some were orange, some were yellow.

Back in 1955,the Union Pacific passenger trains stopped running on the North Western and on to the Milwaukee Road. After that Milwaukee road passenger equipment was painted in Union Pacific colors.

True. However, it took years for all of the passenger cars to get repainted, so a mixed consist (although kind of homely) would be prototypically correct for the late 50's and early 60's.

I still wish we could see some pictures :'(
